my knowledge on the subject is apparently antiquated since google confirms what you said. i encountered it myself before the aca existed because i had to pay for my ex husband’s vaccine back in a time before gay marriage was legal.

i think you just gave me my first boomer memory moment. lol

I do remember a short time after Gardasil 9 came out that they were limiting it to young women because HPV is the cause of cervical cancer and the vaccine was in very short supply because large scale manufacturing hadn’t ramped up yet. I’m happy that time is over and its available to everyone.

i think you just gave me my first boomer memory moment. lol

No worries at all. All of us will have this at some point in our lives if we’re lucky enough to make it that far.

truvada had a similar start and i knew people paying upwards of $500/month to obtain it because of insurance fuckery – leading them financially destitution and losing a home and later his life in one case. i think about him each time the pharmacy charges me 25 cents for a 3 month supply, knowing i could have just as easily been in his place if it weren’t for luck.

the problem for me is that there’s literally decades separating me from the boomers but i’m already starting to lose touch like they already have. lol
