    I’ve always thought cancelling ageing must be possible. Our organisms can produce sex cells that are completely “young”, that is not affected by our body’s age. If you trace life through sex cells that after becoming mature organisms produce new sex cells, you get an uninterrupted chain of life aged billions of years. So we are already in a way immortal. There must be a way to force our body to produce “unaged” cells of all types, not just reproductive cells.

      The need for embryonic stem cells no longer exists. I couldn’t read the whole article because it’s paywalled but iPSC-derived stem cells can come from adult tissue and preferably comes from the patient whom the therapy is being administered to. So it’s not likely they are using the embryonic type.
