The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) successfully completed filling its 20,000-tonne liquid scintillator detector and begun data taking on Tuesday.

    A 35 meter sphere 700 meters underground, holding 20KT of shiny liquid and being held by 60KT of pure water.

    Eventually we’re going to build a Dyson sphere to understand yet tinier subatomic particles.
