Ah Google Photos, how great you once were. Every change seems to make it worse now (which I appreciate is not exactly a new issue with Google).

We shoot ads up your wazoo so we can afford to pay this group of people to put features in and this group to take them out. In this way we ensure everyone is unhappy.

Off topic, but are there any good apps for viewing photos as an alternative to Google? I don’t really care about backups and honestly want to try and avoid it because I have no use for it. I have a camera that I take all my photos with so all the photos on my phone are just memes and the like. I’m just so tired of google asking me if I want to backup my photos every other day when it’s all just memes.
