Turtles don’t wear shells. They are their shells.
It does say they “have” shells in the comic, which is as accurate as saying they have limbs or a head.
She grew it out of her spine after millions of years of evolution?
This person does not have a sibling or else they knew that the turtle doesn’t work and a slap to the back of the head would be incoming.
