Microsoft Word isn’t working
Hum… Are you complaining about something or just stating universal truths? If you are complaining, what exactly did you expect to see?

Well, we don’t get to see the patterns being created. When we see replicators they were supposed to be standard appliances for decades.
But they were mainly aimed at food, and people don’t design food in a CAD.
Oh, I do think DS9 is one of the best Star Trek shows (tied there with Lower Decks). But the synopsis isn’t great.
Hum… I did.
The Voyager synopsis on Netflix is much more interesting than the DS9.
don’t get me started on how stupid an engineer would have to be to name a device that fabricates stuff, but not itself a “replicators”
The Chevron 7 people will love to hear that rant. But I imagine the name is because you put something in a dematerializer somewhere, and then the machine can make endless replicas of the original object.
They don’t have to replicate themselves to gain that name, it’s equally applicable to a machine that replicates anything.
And screen-share knowledge is not some skill that is short in supply and high in demand.
That one, it kind of is. But people have an irrational cap on how much they will pay, so the demand is extremely elastic.
What means that if you manage to be extremely productive, you will be rewarded disproportionately. But if you don’t, you’ll lack rewards disproportionately too.
Also, ability to screen-share has little to do with the competencies that pay the bills on most places.
Oh, so this is about NVidia and its CEO. Thanks.
Yeah, he has been pissing everybody for quite a long time already. People still buy the things he sells…
I’ve pretty consistently seen the 1st level of management able to understand when you worked hard, and that it is not repeatable. Those problems tend to appear only when they report up what is happening.
What is to say that often (not always), you can be honest with your manager if both of you can keep a secret.
There’s the booty call, a random “snake! snake!”, the “somebody hold me! I’ll kill this guy!”… And the more social ones have quite a lot more.
Well, it seems to improve fitness either way.
Not so fast. The idea that “if companies spend that much, they must have a reason” isn’t any good either.
Some ads obviously work, some ads obviously don’t work, and most of them aren’t in either of those categories.
I’m not sure I’d even trust a fully local open source one.
The issues about trusting hardware and software development tools all lead to problems here.
The movie Gungans were already one of the most badass groups on the franchise. They are just unfairly portrayed by the focus on Jar-jar (however badass Jar-Jar may actually be).
The Clone Wars just increase that by a few notches.
YT basically just sends me comedy sketches and bad sci-fi shorts. Lemmy basically sends me memes about popular culture and science… And that’s it, those are the feeds that exist, right?
Well, my local mail service often has less lag than Teams…
It temporarily deletes my meetings just before they happen, so that I don’t have to attend them!
Of course, when I open it later, the meetings are restored, with the original date, and no trace of the deletion. So not attending them is quite hard to explain to others. But it does save me from attending!
Screen off!!! Screen off!!!
If you are not from the US? Otherwise, I have no idea how you thought there was nothing you could do.
Just to say, but baby Yoda has been for 60 years running around the Jedi temples.
