  • The only policy anyone will remember Trump has, is that he’s racist.

He made sure everyone knew that and kept emphasizing it.

And he wanted everyone to know he’s better at golf. That I believe, considering he spent his 4 years in office playing it (the only thing he seemingly did was steal some paperwork and blame others).

Also, why didn’t CNN bring up stuff like the fact Trump told people to shove a lightbulb up their ass to cure covid? Or follow up on the lies. They should have had a ticker at the bottom with a fact check

  • I disagree with a lot of coverage. Public talking is hard and everyone has had a brainfart before.

Trump wanted everyone to know he was racist… It was his only clear policy

If you listen to the actual words, Biden had answers. He might not have been as vocal (which could have been fixed with a mic adjustment).

But it’s easy to win a debate if you constantly lie. You can’t get onto the offensive, because Trump has the advantage that he can make up bullshit, and claim bullshit. He doesn’t even need to think about policies.

It’s like arguing on Facebook. Talking on behalf of everyone and claiming that “nobody agrees” can only be disputed with facts.

As others have said, the format was an issue that benefits Trump. CNN should have fact checked on the spot

  • Yeah. Biden said after “it’s hard to win a debate against a liar”.

If you’ve ever argued with someone on Facebook, it’s the same. Because it doesn’t matter what you say, they’ll simply claim you are lying and it’s easy to make up bullshit. Coming up with facts, supporting them and recalling your policies is a lot harder.

Whereas, Trump doesn’t need to worry about his policies. He just makes them up and throws in racism.

Trump wanted everyone to know he is a racism piece of shit. If anything, that was his only policy . I’ve never seen someone be so racist

What’s weird is that you hear Biden on different mics soon after, he sounded fine, so I think the mics may have needed adjusting too. But maybe the rules dictated both levels were the same or something

  • I disagree… The problem actually is that Wayland is optional, and still is.

So everyone was dragging their heels (and some still are). If all the major distro’s set a cut off date, then things would speed up. The biggest reason for delay was Nvidia imho, so now that they’re sorted, it seems things are falling into place faster.

X11 still hasn’t solved any of their real issues, and its still a security nightmare (which can’t be fixed). Furthermore, most of the developers have moved off it.

What exactly do you like about X11?

  • They actually are.

    1. Android allows people to bypass their store as an example, and their APIs are a lot more permissive. It’s also a mostly open OS (except some parts)
    2. It doesn’t matter what you think about Google, remember, Apple gets paid millions / billions to make them the default search engine. So they’re at least as bad
    3. Remember Pebble? Apple abused their app store to kill them off
    4. Apple doesn’t treat their resellers particularly well.
    5. Microsoft bailed them out, and then they repaid them, but sh**talking them.
    6. They don’t treat developers particularly well either. Apple actively uses their monopoly to compete against other developers, and even screws subscription services
    7. Apple deceived customers to win business. I used to sell them, and their Mac Vs PC ads accomplished what they’d hoped. Every new customer walked in and thought Mac’s can’t get viruses and won’t crash. Here in Australia, they should have been sued
    8. You can even develop Android and Chrome apps without any Google hardware. Apple however, that’s not an option.
    9. Apple even forced developers to use their Apple ID thing.
    10. Apple doesn’t sell your details. However, it’s almost impossible to use their hardware without providing them, and they even forced their resellers to meet targets whilst actively competing against them (using the harvested details)

They’re literally NOTHING alike. Apple literally treats everyone like crap, but sugar coats it. The only real bad thing you could say about Google is privacy related honestly (and the fact they keep killing their own projects).

In fact, name any type of Apple user who they treat well?

I use a Mac Studio, and I’d love to work at Apple simply to help improve things on the inside. The crazy thing is that the problem isn’t the Apple developers, but select people in their team
