The government never built a weather machine. But the oil companies did. It took decades, but they built a carbon spewing machine that’s doing a fantastic job changing the weather, and they knew it 50 years ago.

So it’s been the conservatives controlling the weather machine all along. They’ve known about, and lied about, the effects of fossil fuels since the earliest scientific studies all in the name of keeping the profit machine rolling.
