Maybe the deadliest single enemy ever? That goomba has taken more lives than nearly any other game character.
The ghosts in Pac-Man have gotta be way up there, too.
In absolute numbers, yes, but surely something has to be deadlier (# of deaths / # of apperances). That would actually be a fun thing to figure out.
Some gap in the floor somewhere I imagine.
